21st  Century rehabilitation experience.

It is with great pleasure that we would like to announce some new and exciting news.

Achilles Physiotherapy is opening a new clinic in Gosforth, Newcastle.  We are teaming up with F.I.T gym   in Gosforth regent centre where we will have 3 new modern and highly equipped treatment rooms for the benefit of our patients allowing us to see them through all stages of the treatment from the acute state to end stage sports specific strength and conditioning. This partnership will offer valuable insight to the Physio team as well to the coaches into the best way to strengthen and prepare a patient for their activities whether that is a seasoned athlete to  anyone with a goal in mind.

As you know, Achilles Physio is based in Hexham and have no expanded to Gosforth and has been under new management for just over a year now. During this time the clinic has undergone a dramatic transformation aesthetically as well as in the range of the services provided. We pride ourselves on patient centred care and developing pathways for patients that are goal focused and providing treatment that is performed in a timely manner.

Our team of highly skilled chartered Physiotherapists who are providing a one-to-one, hands-on treatment for a wide range of conditions are now able to take the patients further on their rehabilitation path with the facilities that  F.I.T gym is providing and with the help of the coaches who are UKSCA ( UK Strength and conditioning Association) Accredited. The UKSCA’s ‘Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach’ (ASCC) standard is now a requirement for Strength and Conditioning Coaches in the UK and overseas. It is highly valued as it not only assesses in-depth subject-matter knowledge, but also practical coaching skills.

Strength and Conditioning is about more than lifting weights – it encompasses the entire development of a person or athlete and what is needed to improve their physical performance. This includes plyometrics, speed and agility, endurance and core stability with strength training being just one piece of the jigsaw. The role of the Strength and Conditioning Coaches at F.I.T is to bridge the gap between the theory of training and applied training, helping someone to become faster, stronger, more flexible and to build their muscular endurance and remain injury free.

Our Physios at Achilles  and the Coaches at F.I.T will use their extensive knowledge in rehabilitation, athletic development and program design to help each person achieve their goals. F.I.T is a state of the art coaching facility with a 40 meter sprint track, multiple lifting platforms, an extensive functional, mobility and core areas. Most importantly an incredible team who will help you to achieve your goals and reach your potential. This will be a momentous partnership, we will be able to take our patients from an injured state and early stage rehabilitation through to end stage rehabilitation and sport specific performance under the guidance of the Strength and Conditioning coaches and the care of a Physio team. This is something no other facility in the north east of England has the capacity to do.
